Hello, my name is Diana and I am the blogger behind livingeneva.com. I am happy to share with you my favorite restaurants, cafes and spots in Champel-Florissant in case you want to get inspired to look for an apartment in this neighborhood.

For some strange reason I have always had a link to this particular neighborhood. When I met my husband, he was renting a studio in Champel, then when we moved in together we found in Champel and now that we bought a place the same!
It is a lovely neighborhood in Geneva, located on the left bank of the city on top of a hill. The particularity of Champel is that it is really green and full of trees. It is mostly residential and with apartment buildings, a lot of families live around this neighborhood due to the closeness of the Parc Bertrand & the schools.
My TOP spots in Champel are:

Osteria Zaza

THE place to get a delicious Napolitan Pizza and apero! I love this place all-year-long since it has a unique flare, the service is attentive, the pizzas delicious and de aperitivo on point. There is always people buzzing inside and the atmosphere is trendy without being too upscale.

TIP: Reserve, they are always fully booked.
TOP: During the Summer their Gardino is a super place to chill.
TRY: Try their Pizza Molise Connection or Pasta Carbonara.

Gelato Mania

In the corner of Place de Champel you will find a tiny Gelateria that most of the time has a queue. The famous Gelato Mania has the most delicious ice-creams in the neighborhood.

TIP: I love the cornetto more than the cup, but careful it melts quickly.
TOP: The cereal milk flavour is the novelty there!
TRY: The pop-corn, the stracciatella, mango & chocolate.

Tea Room de l’Athenée

A charming tea-room located at rue de L’Athenee is a neighborhood favorite for many. I probably go there once or twice a week to meet a friend, a client or just to work from there a little bit. It is relaxed and they serve a delicious roiboos tea.

TIP: On colder days there are two tables on the far end after the steps, the sun hits right there in the morning and it is super nice.
TOP: Their terrace during the Summer is lovely and super calm.
TRY: The delice au fromage is super good! One of my favorites and when I was pregnant I used to have one everyday… one of many cravings I had!

La Tanière

La Tanière is the cutest and most romantic restaurant in Champel. I absolutely love this place. Outside, a tiny little house from the beginning of the XX century in the middle of buildings full of apartments. On the inside, the coziest, most beautiful and delicious food you could think of! I love that there is a staircase and that you can have dinner on the first floor, it makes it even more unique.

TIP: Reservation highly recommended!
TOP: There is a mini balcony on the first floor with a table for 2, the most romantic table of Champel!
TRY: They have a daily lunch menu for 28 CHF that is delicious & affordable.
